Palworld has been generating a ton of interest ever since its initial announcement. Its unique blend of monster-catching and survival elements have intrigued gamers for a while and the hype has only grown ahead of its Early Access release on January 19.
Developed by Pocketpair, Palworld is finally making its debut on Xbox One, Xbox Series S/X and PC soon. Notably, it will be a Day One release on Xbox Game Pass, allowing subscribers to explore its offerings as part of their subscription. But, the question on many gamer's minds is whether Palworld will eventually make its way to PS4 and PS5 platforms.
As of now, there are no concrete plans for a Palworld release on PlayStation consoles. The game's Steam page explicitly mentions that there are currently no intentions for a PS4 and PS5 launch, although developer Pocketpair has said they will consider it.
This stance mirrors Pocketpair's approach to their previous title, Craftopia, which was also limited to the Xbox platform. Perhaps, the possibility of a PlayStation release is contingent on Palworld's success within the Xbox and PC communities. If the game exceeds expectations and garners significant demand from PlayStation fans, the developer might be more inclined to explore a PS4 and PS5 port.
The early access period for Palworld will last a year, during which time Pocketpair plans to fine-tune the game based on player feedback. A roadmap outlining future features and enhancements is set to be released shortly after launch. The game will support online co-op for up to three friends and server creation for up to 32 players.
