Is Logan Paul the next wrestler to join The Judgment Day?

The Maverick recently talked about wanting to join Dominik Mysterio to form the most hated heel tag team in the WWE.

The Judgment Day is easily one of the top stables in the WWE at the moment.

In a world where entertainment blends with athleticism, the WWE Universe has always been the realm of unexpected alliances, heated rivalries, and dramatic narratives.

Recently, the grapevine has been buzzing with speculation, courtesy of none other than the YouTube sensation-turned-WWE superstar, Logan Paul.

Fresh off his victory over Ricochet at SummerSlam, Paul is already setting his sights on the next big thing. And what’s’ bigger at the moment than teaming up with the most jeered WWE star currently, Dominik Mysterio?

Logan Paul might not be the newest member of The Judgment Day but the WWE might want to give his idea to team up with Dominik Mysterio a listen.

During a recent episode of his podcast ‘IMPAULSIVE’, Logan Paul, amidst conversations with guests, spilled the beans on his idea of teaming up with “Dirty Dom. “I had a crazy idea recently,” began Paul, a statement that hardly surprises his fans and the critics alike. “Dom is super heel right now. He lifts the microphone to his mouth and the whole arena [boos].” The idea of this collaboration is, as Paul puts it, forming “the most hated duo of all time, the most hated tag team partners in the WWE.” Given the reactions both of them elicit from the crowd, from London to Cleveland, Paul might not be exaggerating.

And it isn’t just about the boos. Both Logan Paul and Dominik Mysterio have more in common than the disdain they receive. Both hail from a lineage of famous personalities as well. While Paul shot to fame via his vlogs and controversies, Dominik rides on the legacy of his father, the renowned Rey Mysterio. The notion of them coming together is not only tantalizing from a narrative perspective but also from the journey they’ve both embarked on – with the two having their first WrestleMania moment together.

However, as with any story in the WWE Universe, complications are a given. Dominik Mysterio, as part of The Judgment Day, is already in a fruitful on-screen alliance with Rhea Ripley, the WWE Women’s World Champion. Of course, Paul, in his characteristic confidence, brushed aside the potential hurdle, suggesting he could make a more impactful duo with Dominik than Ripley ever could. “I’m sure I could fit my way in there. Who cares? Me and Dom, maybe we could go further than him and Rhea,” Paul boldly stated.

As far as heel tag teams go, Logan Paul and Dominik Mysterio have the potential to be an all-time pairing.

In the world of WWE, these are borderline fighting words, especially when Ripley-Mysterio is a favorite pairing for a lot of fans, but who knows?

But what does this mean for the futures of Dominik and Logan Paul? As of now, Dominik Mysterio holds the title of the NXT North American Championship. He has carved out a niche for himself, managing to rise above the shadow of his legendary father, Rey Mysterio. In fact, Rey Mysterio, while expressing his pride in his son, teasingly stated, “He just better not step in the ring with me because I will take that North American Title.”

On the other hand, Paul, who has proved his mettle against formidable opponents over the past two years, might be in the business of establishing a legacy. His shift from YouTube to the wrestling ring has garnered attention, with Paul surprising many with his commendable in-ring prowess.

The Maverick, as he’s known, seems to thrive on the negative energy, harnessing it and turning it into a weapon.

Logan Paul is currently in his second contract with the WWE.

Whether or not Logan Paul’s vision becomes a reality remains to be seen. But the mere idea of such a tag team has set the rumor wheels in motion. It’s a reminder that in WWE, expect the unexpected. With several premium events lined up for the remainder of 2023, who knows what twists and turns await the fans?
