While Activision Blizzard was late to the free-to-player battle royale shooter party, it made its eventual entry count. Call of Duty: Warzone is easily one of the controversial publisher's biggest money-makers right now. If it weren't, it wouldn't make sense for every Call of Duty game to have been built around it since 2020. However, while Warzone isn't looking any worse for wear, there has been rumblings about a Warzone sequel for a while.

Tom Henderson is an industry insider who has been privy to the inner workings of video game developers, especially with respect to Call of Duty and Battlefield, but he's not an official source. Given his track record though, it doesn't hurt to pay attention to what he has to say.
Case in point, Henderson has confirmed Warzone 2 "in a call with content creators" and spilt the beans on Warzone 2, discussing how Activision Blizzard had to build Warzone 2 "from the ground up" and that the game "will come with Modern Warfare 2". Henderson also claims that Activision Blizzard will lift the embargo for Warzone 2 starting tomorrow, February 11, so we should start hearing more official news about Warzone 2 over the weekend.
