Ice Cube turns down big paycheck after saying no to COVID-19 vaccine

All that we know is that The Hollywood Reporter was the first to break the news that Ice Cube is no longer part of Sony Pictures' upcoming film.

Ice Cube would have co-starred with Jack Black in Oh Hell No, which will be directed by Kitao Sakurai. The film was initially set to start filming in Hawaii this winter, but production has since been delayed with Black currently out due to an injury.

Interestingly, the former NWA member is reportedly saying no to the project because of the COVID-19 vaccine mandate. He was previously one of the strongest supporters of protecting ones self from the ongoing pandemic. The "You Can Do It" MC even released a series of branded T-shirts last year that featured himself wearing a mask where he donated the proceeds to frontline health workers who sacrificed so much during the earlier portions of the COVID-lockdowns.

This is the second project that Ice Cube has turned down in the past two years. Before Oh Hell No, Cube was set to join "Flint Strong" in a starring role. However, several sources claim that he's no longer involved in the said film. Ice Cube nor his representation has yet to reveal why he exited Flint Strong either.
