Popular streaming platform Hulu has given the greenlight to a revival of the popular Fox animated sitcom, King of the Hill, after several years of speculation.
Recently, Hollywood has been trailing a path of animated comedy series revival and King of the Hill is but the latest entry in a long line of reboots. Judge's Beavis and Butt-Head is another such show with Paramount+ rebooting the adult animated sitcom last year.
Rumors of a King of the Hill reboot first emerged in 2017, when Judge, Daniels, and the sitcom's cast reunited at the San Francisco Sketchfest in commemoration of its 20th anniversary. The speculation gained new life when, in January 2022, Daniels and Judge launched their animation company, Bandera Entertainment, and announced King of the Hill as one of the shows they will develop.
