Pokemon Shining Diamond and Brilliant Pearl are two of the most recent Pokemon games to come out for the Nintendo Switch. However, unlike Pokemon Sword and Shield, Shining Diamond and Brilliant Pearl are remakes of Diamond and Pearl, respectively. Because of this, several fans spent dozens of hours combing through each game's files to see if some of the "extra" features from the original games made their way to the remakes. How to get the National Dex early in Brilliant Pearl and Shining Diamond
In a nutshell, getting the National Pokedex, otherwise more commonly known as the National Dex, lets you discover and catch more Pokemon. However, because this only comes in handy once players can travel to other regions, this is an item that's often rewarded only post-game such as after players have already defeated that particular region's Elite Four. In the original games, players could only get the National Dex once they completed the Sinnoh Dex. However, through some data mining, players found out that there was a way to get this post-game feature after beating the first gym.
