Financially, Disney's Star Wars trilogy is the most successful in the franchise.
With a combined gross of $4.5 billion at the global box office, The Force Awakens, The Last Jedi, and The Rise of Skywalker made more in three outings than multiple commercially successful movie franchises combined.
Despite the trilogy's popularity though, not everyone is a fan of it.
A common criticism among Star Wars fans is how the sequels disrespected Darth Vader. In particular, many took issue with how Disney retconned Darth Vader's "redemption arc" by making it so Vader's only accomplishment was to save his son, Luke, who would later push his grandson, Ben Solo, to follow him to the dark side.
While many aren't a fan of what Disney did what Darth Vader, Hayden Christensen doesn't see it so badly.
The prequel trilogy actor told Kakuchopurei in a recent interview that he "really enjoyed the sequel trilogy" adding that "it was great the way that [the sequels] honored [Darth Vader]."
