Streaming service, Paramount+, has revealed that Halo season 2 has started filming. The announcement came on Wednesday via the show's official Twitter account, where it posted a picture of some cast members during their first day on set in Iceland. The post included the caption: "The Spartans have landed in Iceland! #HaloTheSeries Season 2 starts production now."
The Halo show, based on the popular Xbox video game franchise of the same name, smashed the record for the most watched series premiere on Paramount+ within 24 hours of its release.
To celebrate this milestone, the streaming service released the first episode for free viewing on its official YouTube channel. At the moment, Halo is the second most watched show on Paramount+ behind only 1883.
Before the series premiered, Paramount+ renewed the series for a second season. This act demonstrated the faith the studio had in the series – and it eventually paid off.
