Halo Infinite needs to do a lot of things right. It's the first mainline Halo game to release in years and it will have been delayed for over a year already by the time it comes out. Thankfully, it appears that 343 Industries wants to do all gamers right. This includes PC gamers, who 343 Industries singled out in the game's latest PC Overview video.

Halo Infinite to get a bunch of PC-exclusive features

Halo Infinite Pc Overview Video Is Getting Pc Fans Excited

According to 343, Halo Infinite is going to get ray-tracing, LAN party support, ranked matchmaking, and Discord integration, on the PC. The studio explains that the game was "built from the ground-up for PC", which is good news for PC players. The part about LAN parties is especially interesting, as PC players can now team up with their buddies on the Xbox One and Xbox Series S/X. At the same time, 343 claims that Halo Infinite will integrate Discord, Steam, and Xbox Game Pass, on the PC. This way, it's easier to find out if your friends are online.

An underrated feature that 343 is adding to Halo Infinite is cross-save compatibility. This means that save files will automatically transfer between Xbox consoles and the PC, as well as vice versa. This extends to multiplayer progress as well, including customization and rank. However, for the sake of fairness, 343 is giving players a choice with multiplayer. Players can either play ranked with a controller, ranked with a mouse and keyboard or ranked with cross-play.
