To release early or not to release early? This is the question Halo fans are dying to find an answer to.

Halo Infinite is one of the most highly anticipated games to release in recent years. 343 Industries’ next Halo installment is years in the making and was delayed from its original release date by more than 12 months as 343 decided to go back to the drawing board to make sure that fans got what they deserved. However, as we grow closer to the game’s December 8, 2021 release date, several sources are suggesting that Halo Infinite multiplayer might release a few weeks earlier than expected.

Is Halo Infinite multiplayer going to release on November 15?

It doesn't matter if Halo Infinite multiplayer is going to release on November 15 or December 8 or anytime in between.

Over the past weekend, the Twitterverse was busy chirping rumors about Halo Infinite’s multiplayer launch. Some parties are claiming that they’ve come across information that the free-to-player multiplayer component of the next Halo game would release on November 15. However, others claim that the launch might still come in November, but some time after the 15th.

NateTheHate2, in particular, is one of the first to “leak” that 343 has decided to push back the original November 15 release date because of a “delay”.

Having said that, fans shouldn’t feel too disappointed. 343 never confirmed Halo Infinite multiplayer would release earlier than expected. Besides, it wouldn’t make sense for 343 to release something as big as the multiplayer part of Halo Infinite without making an announcement.

Then again, we wouldn’t put it past them. Electronic Arts and Respawn Entertainment did do a stealth release for Apex Legends a few years ago. The free-to-play battle royale shooter took the world by storm with the help of Ninja and shr0ud. Microsoft and 343 could take a similar approach with Halo Infinite’s multiplayer, but don’t count on it.

Ultimately, fans don’t have to wait too long for Halo Infinite. After a long delay, Halo Infinite is finally going to release on December 8, 2021. With less than a month away from the release of the game’s single-player campaign (and multiplayer too), we can expect social media feeds to be full of speculations and leaks regarding Halo Infinite. Of course, unless it comes from 343 itself, it’s best not to believe any statement.

In the meantime, players can keep themselves busy with Halo: The Master Chief Collection.
