343 Industries is finally adding campaign co-op and Forge mode to Halo Infinite close to a year and millions of players lost later.

According to 343, the game's big winter update brings in features such as the game's map editor, Forge mode, as well as campaign co-op and campaign mission replay. Unfortunately, couch co-op is still not available.

On top of the aforementioned additions, the patch also introduces a new multiplayer battle pass along with the requisite set of maps and play modes.

The latest Halo Infinite update is already available for both the Xbox Series X and the PC.

Halo Infinite Biggest Update Yet

The brevity of Halo Infinite's success post-launch underlines a big problem over at 343. It's come to a point that Xbox Game Studios head, Matt Booty, has had to explain why it's in such state. But, there's no excusing what's happened to Halo Infinite. 343 delayed it by over a year following feedback from the initial trailer. Although the COVID-19 pandemic had everyone hard, 343 could've just delayed the game again if it meant delivering a complete product. Instead, 343 has spent the better part of the past year learning the ropes, or so to speak, and it hasn't been pretty.
