Over the years, Guardians of the Galaxy series has provided a backstory for most of its members. However, there has been little to no detail provided about Rocket's background. In Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, fans learn that Rocket the Raccoon is, in fact, from planet Earth. The film also wraps up several other threads that began in earlier films.
During the movie, Rocket comes across a cage filled with baby raccoons much like himself during a mission on the ship of his cruel creator the High Evolutionary. While attempting to free the baby raccoons, he discovers a label on the inside of a cage door that reveals the raccoons, and by extension, himself, are from the Earth continent of North America.
