James Gunn might be off playing for the other team now, but he didn't leave his Marvel fans hanging. In arguably his most heartwarming outing yet, Gunn saved the best for last as he directed and wrote Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. Now, after a successful theatrical run, Peter Quill and the rest of the ragtag bunch of universe-saving team of heroes.

According to the House of Mouse, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 will be available to watch on its streaming platform next month, specifically on August 2.

Released in cinemas on May 5, the film soared at the box office, netting an impressive $800 million during its theatrical run. It's no surprise that fans couldn't get enough of the intergalactic rogues-turned-heroes. Marvel's trilogy capper, which was the conclusion of director James Gunn's vibrant and rollicking cosmic saga, has already been available to buy digitally since July 7. If physical copies are your preference, you can look forward to its Blu-ray release on August 1.

For the uninitiated, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 takes us on a heartrending journey into the backstory of Rocket Raccoon (voiced by Bradley Cooper). The narrative propels the Guardians into a dangerous quest to save their furry friend's life, who is severely wounded following an intense face-off against Adam Warlock (Will Poulter). As Rocket hovers between life and death, he revisits his tumultuous past through a series of poignant flashbacks, leading him to reassess the true essence of heroism.
