Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 sets new audience score record on Rotten Tomatoes

Ideally, a film should be a hit among critics and audiences. But, even if it gets a lukewarm reaction among critics yet draws in positive audience scores, you'd best bet that it's in for a massive haul. We're betting that Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 will be the highest-grossing film of the trilogy. It wouldn't even be far-fetched to say that it could breach the billion-dollar mark, being just the second movie to do so this year after The Super Mario Bros. Movie.

Coincidentally, The Super Mario Bros. Movie wasn't as popular with critics as well, yet audiences begged to differ.

All things considered, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3's critic and audience scores are excellent news after Ant-Man and the Wasp; Quantumania. Phase 5's average is still a franchise low as a whole but it does do an excellent job priming audiences up for Secret Invasion and The Marvels, which are both premiering later this year.
