Facebook is no longer well, Facebook. Company CEO Mark Zuckerberg turned a lot of heads when he announced that Facebook was going to rebrand itself to Meta. As part of this move, the company is working on several projects, including a "built-for-VR version of Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas" that is reportedly "many years in the making."

According to Zuckerberg, GTA: San Andreas VR is an "entirely new way to experience this iconic open-world in virtual reality.

The PlayStation 2 classic was released back in 2004. Many consider it as the game that put GTA on the map, both for the better and for the worse.

The game's story revolves around Carl Johnson, otherwise known as CJ, who goes back to Grove Street after spending some time away. In his return, he finds that his home turf is in disarray and decides to help try and turn things around. Soon enough, CJ finds himself in a life of crime, shooting down rival gangs on a train while riding on a motorcycle, stealing government vehicles, and even delivering questionable parcels using remote-controller toy-sized aircraft.
