If you're a fan of survival video games, there's reason to be happy. Canadian developer Goose Byte has announced its first project and it's a survival game, The Signal.

The Signal is an open-world survival title that gives players the power to craft the world they live in, including the likes of "infrastructure, vehicles, and equipment."

It uses the third-person perspective and can accommodate anywhere from 1 to 16 players. The studio announced it via a trailer that gave fans a sneak peek into what to expect. If it's anything to go by, gamers will find it enjoyable.

Here's the game's description on Steam: The last remaining humans have abandoned Earth in search of a new home. Your expedition of climate refugees has you venturing into the unknown on an uncharted alien planet filled with wonder and peril. Even though this is Goose Byte's first game, many survival game fans are already looking forward to it. From what we know of its story and what we've seen in the trailer, it promises to be fun and exciting so we understand the sentiment.

In a press release that accompanied the unveiling, Goose Byte's founder Theodor Diea revealed their excitement about the game. She said they wished to take players on a journey in the game and warned that "The planet is fully aware of your actions and, the longer you spend exploring, the more it starts interacting and messing with you."
