It's not so often that single-player games perform well on the multiplayer-dominated live-streaming platform, Twitch. So, when a game tops the charts, it's usually big news. Case in point, God of War: Ragnarok.
After Santa Monica Studios' latest masterpiece hit store shelves on Wednesday, November 9, SullyGnome reports that the game immediately captivated the attention of viewers as it peaked at 460,387 viewers with over 16 million hours watched.
Of course, this was pretty much expected after Ragnarok scored the second-highest game rating for the year.
Unfortunately, it is falling behind its biggest rivals in terms of numbers. The only game with a higher rating compared to the God of War sequel is Elden Ring. Also, its Twitch numbers, while impressive, are nearly half of what Elden Ring posted, 875,155 peak viewers, in its first week after coming out on February 25. It wouldn't be an exaggeration to say that Elden Ring dwarf's the numbers of God of War: Ragnarok.
