Adult animated sitcom Archer debuted on FX in 2009 before it moved to FXX in 2017. Now, almost 14 years later, FX has announced that the action-adventure comedy series will come to an end after it airs its fourteenth season later this year.

This announcement is courtesy of pay television channel FX when it unveiled the premiere dates of several of its upcoming summer projects. Archer, which aired its thirteenth season between August and October last year, looks set to repeat this as Season 14 is slated for an August 30 debut.

Over the 13 seasons that have aired so far, Archer has been nominated for numerous awards, which include 6 Critics Choice Television Awards, 10 Primetime Emmy Awards, and 15 Annie Awards. Of the lot, it has won four Primetime Emmy Awards and four Critics Choice Awards, pointing to the quality and staying power of the show.

Archer Season 14's logline reads, "Archer and The Agency are finding their own way with Lana at the helm. Her goal is to make money while also making the world a better place, but she quickly finds out running a spy agency isn't so cut and dry."

The adult animated series will see H. Jon Benjamin, Aisha Tyler, Judy Greer, Chris Parnell, Amber Nash, Adam Reed, and Lucky Yates reprise their voice roles from earlier in the series. The forthcoming season will also see newcomer Natalie Dew added to the cast.
