With the arrival of Pokemon Scarlet and Violet's 2.0.1 patch, players finally have the official green light to dive into the game's DLC: The Teal Mask.
Thefirst half of the two-part DLC marks the debut of the latest expansion for the newest additions to the Pokemon line of video games. Fans of the series are exciting if not playing already, eagerly anticipating the treasure trove of content that awaits them.
The Teal Mask's unveiling introduces the Kitikami region, a fresh playground for players to explore. The newest region, which seems to nestle close to Paldea, is distinct in its own right, highlighting the intention to distinguish The Teal Mask from the DLCs of previous Pokemon games. More than just a new geographic expanse, the Kitikami region teems with over 100 new Pokemon, ready for players to discover and train. The blend of familiar Pokemon and new entrants is sure to engage both seasoned players and newcomers.
In The Teal Mask, players are introduced to at least seven new Pokemon species, including the legendary Ogerpon and three Pokemon rooted in the Momotaro folklore: Okidogi, Munkidori, and Fezandipiti. Applin enthusiasts are in for a treat with the unveiling of its new evolution, Dipplin. Additionally, the DLC showcases Poltchageist, a Pokemon bearing resemblance to Polteageist, albeit being an entirely different species.
