Final Fantasy 7 Remake is one of the biggest titles to release in recent years if not ever, and it's just the first part of a project that will see Square Enix remake one of their most iconic RPG titles, Final Fantasy 7, across multiple parts. Considering how successful it's been just a year after it released, you can't help but wonder why Square Enix hasn't decided to port it to other platforms like the Xbox consoles and PC yet.

As of the moment, Final Fantasy 7 Remake is available only on the PlayStation 4. Technically, you can play it on the PS5 via backwards compatibility, but it's not built to take full advantage of the power of Sony's next-gen console.

PlayStation 5 owners will have to wait for the release of the Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade to enjoy the game at its finest.

With that said, going back to the topic of the game releasing on other platforms, those who've been waiting for that to happen won't have to wait too long for Square Enix to confirm if Final Fantasy 7 Remake will remain an exclusive to the PlayStation 4 and/or PlayStation 5. Benji-Sales took to Twitter to talk about the game's upcoming one-year anniversary. He claims that this is significant. Not only does April 10 mark an entire year since the game's release, but it is also when the exclusivity deal between Sony and Square Enix will come to an end.
