A wave of paranoia - it's actually quite understandable, if we're being honest - has taken a tight hold of the entire Grand Theft Auto community after a chunk of information-starved fans convinced themselves that the most recent GTA Online update is hiding an elaborate hint at the imminent announcement date for Grand Theft Auto 6.
It's probablynot true, but the idea that Rockstar Games is going to extreme lengths to tease if not troll fans has gotten many talking about potential evidence of how this conspiracy theory might be true.
And, if your brain is flexible enough to go through a bit of mental gymnastics, the idea behind this radical speculation makes sense - if you stretch hard enough.
Earlier this week, Rockstar tweeted a new promotional image for GTA Online, and the more perceptive fans immediately noticed the not-so-subtle nod to GTA 6. The said image shows a female and male playable character standing in front of the iconic Vinewood sign in Los Santos. However, it only shows the letters "V" and "I", which, anyone who took elementary math will tell you is the Roman Numeral equivalent of the number "6".
But, just when you thought that this was the only GTA 6 tease this week - there's more!
