Of the several Star Wars TV shows streaming on Disney+, the Obi-Wan Kenobi series did particularly well on the platform, smashing viewership records when it premiered. In the wake of the show's success, the cast and fans are hoping that the series will return for a second season.

Ewan McGregor is one such cast member hoping to return for a second season. The actor recently reaffirmed his interest in returning as the Jedi Master during an interview at the Disney Studio Awards. The actor also shared his joy in working with Star Wars co-star Hayden Christensen.

"I was so happy to do it again, and so happy to work with Hayden again, and I hope we get the chance to do it again," McGregor said of the TV show. "In the old days, I would joke about, 'There must be a good story to tell between 'Episode III' and 'VI'.' But, it's true. I always felt that there was. I feel like Deborah Chow found it and absolutely nailed it."
