The Epic Games Store's attempt to try and take Steam down continues. For its latest effort, Epic Games just kicked off a double-header event for the holiday season - a lengthy sale that will run through January 6 (with a $10 reward for every game purchase) and a free game on every day until 2021 ends.
What kind of games is Epic Games Store giving away now?
For the better part of the past two years, the Epic Games Store has made it a point to give away games constantly. Sure, not all of them are noteworthy, but a free game is a free game. However, Epic just upped the ante for the holiday season by giving a new game every day, starting with Shenmue III. But, you'd have to be fast. Right now, Shenmue III is no longer available for free although you can still have the game for a massive discount. The good news is that the next game, Remnant: From the Ashes, is much better.
