Four years after confirming that it's working on the fourth Dragon Age game, BioWare has finally given it a name.

Dragon Age: Dreadwolf will pick up on the events of Dragon Age: Inquisition as it will bring back a former companion and love interest, Solas, as the titular Dread Wolf. Unfortunately, Solas' return isn't worth celebrating as he will serve as the antagonist of the next game. This confirms an earlier tease back in 2018 when Solas, still voiced by Gareth David-Lloyd, said, "So, you have found me at least. I suspect you have questions."

And questions, indeed we have.

Unfortunately, it appears that we'll all have to wait until "later this year" to find out more about Dragon Age 4.

What we know is that the fourth installment will also cater to older as well as newer fans. It also appears that twists are a huge part of the game. As per the 2020 Game Awards trailer, Dragon Age 4's protagonist will be one that enemies "will never see coming." The narrator, Brian Bloom, who has also voiced multiple characters in the series, also added that the hero will not be a prophetic figure or someone with a "magic hand".
