Do you know when Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse will be available on digital platforms?

Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse has wrapped up its theatrical run and will land on digital platforms next week.

Spider-Man: Across the SpiderVerse is one of the best films we have seen this year. The animated flick, released in June, impressed audiences and critics during its run so much that it grossed almost $700 million at the box office. Now, it will be available to an even wider audience.

Sony announced that Spider-Man: Across the SpiderVerse will arrive on digital platforms on Tuesday, August 8. That means viewers who couldn’t make it to the cinemas to watch the movie during its run – and those who want to revisit it – will have a chance to experience it within the comfort of their homes from that day onward.

Some of the platforms it will be available on are Amazon’s Prime Video, iTunes, and Microsoft Store. About a month later, in September, the film will be available on physical home media – Blu-ray and 4K UHD formats.

If you want one of these, you can pre-order it on Best Buy, Walmart, or Amazon and get it shipped to you when it eventually releases. Each of the new releases will come with special features, including filmmaker commentary, Easter eggs, bonus content, and lyric videos, among others.

There is a third installment of the franchise coming. Titled Spider-Man: Beyond the SpiderVerse, the film was originally set for release next year. However, Sony has delayed its release indefinitely because of the ongoing WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes.

That might not be the full story, though. In June, one animator who worked on the film said there simply isn’t enough time to finish the film by its original release date. Considering the extensive work involved, this seems plausible.

Spider-Man: Across the SpiderVerse is a great film by all accounts. At its center is Miles Morales, a Spider-Man character that comic fans knew but who had never featured on screen. The franchise also uses a revolutionary art style for its animation. Both of these, combined with its stellar cast make the film a truly memorable experience.

Spider-Man: Across the SpiderVerse will swing onto digital platforms on August 8. On September 5, it will be available on Blu-ray and 4K UHD.
