Black Panther: Wakanda Forever has done really well during its theatrical run earning $820 million. The sequel will now be moving to Disney+ after almost two months in theaters. We now have an official date for the movie's streaming debut.
We recently heard rumors that Black Panther 2 will be premiering on Disney+ on January 20. Several days later, Disney officially announced that Black Panther: Wakanda Forever is coming to the streaming platform on February 1, 2023, via a new dedicated page for the movie on the site.
Despite being commercially successful, Marvel has not yet committed to a third film for Black Panther. Producer Nate Moore previously stated that director Ryan Coogler wants to see how the film performs at the box office before considering a sequel.
"That's a great question. To be honest, this is not me trying to not answer the question," Moore said regarding the third movie. "We really want to see how audiences receive the film, and I think Ryan's really interested to see how the film plays before we decide."
