Following an exciting and successful first season, Disney+ renewed Loki, starring Tom Hiddleston, for a second season. Now, the streamer has provided fans with a new look at the upcoming show via a promo video it shared on its official Twitter account.
The video showcases the streaming platform's TV slate, alongside that of its sister platform Hulu, for 2023 and includes scenes from Loki season 2, The Mandalorian season 3, The Great, Secret Invasion, Peter Pan & Wendy, and Tiny Beautiful Things, among others.
The commercial footage provided only brief glimpses of the forthcoming show, which are not enough to make any call on what it will be about. However, given that the clip includes a fight within the halls of the TVA, the decapitated head of a TVA puppet, and Loki thrusting a spear into a mural of the three Time-Keepers, the new season promises to be as exciting as the first season.
Disney had previously showcased a teaser trailer for the series at the D23 expo last September. The trailer revealed that Loki was dragged through time during which he saw "terrible, awful things." When he finds himself in a new world where nobody recognizes him, he is left stranded. However, Loki manages to convince Mobius, a TVA agent, that the multiverse is in danger from a more powerful, multiversal foe: Kang the Conqueror.
