On Tuesday, fans bid farewell to Ahsoka, the latest show set in the ever-expansive Star Wars franchise and a spin-off of The Mandalorian series. Even though the finale received flak from critics and audiences for how it ended, it was still a massive success for Disney.
In terms of viewers, the show's debut episode attracted the most eyes ever to the company's streaming platform in its first week. Furthermore, it enjoyed a critics approval rating of 87% on Rotten Tomatoes. With its performance, we would think that a second season is a no-brainer. Unfortunately, there hasn't been any mention of one - until now.
has provided us with a glimmer of hope with a recent report that Disney has plans for another installment of the Rosario Dawson-led series. The magazine wrote, "We hear that Ahsoka Season 2 is more of a reality in the conversation, though nothing is locked yet."
The events of Star Wars: Ahsoka pick up after the 1983 film, Return of the Jedi. It follows the Jedi Ahsoka Tano as she fights to ensure that the threat of the empire is forever stamped out following its fall.
