"Dread it. Run from it. Destiny still arrives."

This iconic phrase by Thanos is perfectly fitting for what's happening to shooters these days. It doesn't matter what franchise it is, if it's a shooter and it wants to stay popular, it needs to have a battle royale mode. However, Halo Infinite currently doesn't have such a mode, which is what many are saying is the reason why 343 Industries brought in Certain Affinity.

Now, Jez Corden just revealed more details about the battle royale mode for Halo Infinite.

In a recent Xbox Two podcast episode, the Windows Central editor dropped information about what Halo Infinite's battle royale variant would look like.

Here's a quick rundown of everything Corden discussed: 343 brought in Certain Affinity to work on the battle royale mode so that it can focus on the rest of Halo Infinite. The battle royale mode is being considered a huge project that's separate from the main game. It's targeting audiences that are already playing Warzone, Fortnite, as well as Apex Legends. What 343 wants is to give new players something familiar that will eventually bring them over to the more standard Halo experiences offered by the game. The mode might be released by season 3 if not season 4. In addition to Corden, another leaker claims to know things about the in-development Halo Infinite game mode.
