Wonder Woman Gal Gadot may be in Shazam 2

In the Snow White live action remake, Gal Gadot (Red Notice) will be playing the Evil Queen opposite Zegler in the titular Disney princess role. Asked about what she thought about Gadot, Zegler gave a cryptic response: I'm not going to say much, but filming Snow White wasn't our first meeting. Zegler has not had any prior project or even casual encounters that involved Gal Gadot. Thus, fans and industry insiders suspect this is referring to the long-rumored appearance of the Amazon Princess in Shazam! Fury of the Gods. Gods and goddesses Gal Gadot's Wonder Woman appearing in the Shazam! sequel seems like a perfect fit. The plot of the story involves mythological deities and it would make sense for Diana Prince, daughter of Zeus, to become involved. Moreover, this is not the first time Wonder Woman was rumored to be appearing in a Shazam! movie.

In 2018, star Zachary Levi spoke to ET Online about Gal Gadot's iconic role making a cameo for the 2019 superhero film: I think getting a cameo from anybody would be super cool, but I just think Gal Gadot is so effervescent… And I think it would be really funny to have the 14-year-old Billy Batson inside of Shazam that's really awkward around this beautiful Amazonian. I just think that would be really awesome. Interestingly, Rachel Zegler's own role in Shazam! Fury of the Gods has not been clearly revealed yet. Recently, director David F. Sandberg poked fun at Zegler's casting theories. He shared a fan poll on Twitter that was gathering votes on which DC Comics character the actress was playing.

The choices included Hawkgirl, Wonder Girl, and even the anthropomorphic tiger Tawky Tawny. Sandberg joined in on the joke by pointing out a fake dialogue that had Tawky Tawny having a conversation with Billy Batson (Asher Angel). Zegler helped fuel the speculations further by replying to the director's video:

Although the interaction did not confirm what Zegler's exact role is, it is possible one of the fan choices in the poll might be the correct one. More cameos? Given that the new release date for Shazam! Fury of the Gods puts it up against the highly anticipated sequel to James Cameron's Avatar, it will need all the help it can get. Gal Gadot's Wonder Woman would certainly add some star power. Though hopefully, it won't be a misdirect as with the Superman cameo at the end of the first Shazam! movie that used a body double instead of Henry Cavill.

On that note, there are other rumored cameos being planned in order to interconnect the DCEU superhero franchises. Aquaman star Jason Momoa is also speculated to be appearing in both Black Adam and Shazam! Fury of the Gods. Meanwhile, Henry Cavill's Superman may appear in Black Adam and 2023's The Flash which stars Ezra Miller, Ben Affleck, and Michael Keaton.

Cotrona Shazam Pedro, Marta Milans and Cooper Andrews as Rosa and Victor Vasquez. Also starring Helen Mirren as Hespera and Lucy Liu as Kalypso.
