While rumors continue to spread that Henry Cavill is back as Superman in Black Adam, some of his Man of Steel test fitting photos have surfaced for auction.

Henry Cavill portrayed Superman beginning in Man of Steel (2013) and his last official appearance as the character was in Zack Snyder's Justice League (2021). Fans of the DC Extended Universe have clamored for the star to return to the role even as a cameo, but Warner Bros. have so far opted for body doubles that do not show Superman's face. However, these doubles have worn the Superman costume Cavill wore in the role.

The behind-the-scenes photos of Henry Cavill during pre-production of Man of Steel were posted at Propstore Auction's website.

The post describes the photos (identified as lot #1148) as follows: 30 pages of printed Superman (Henry Cavill) suit concept designs and photos from Zack Snyder's superhero film Man of Steel. Jor-El (Russell Crowe) presented his son Kal-El with what would become his signature Kryptonian suit. Going further into the description, the batch of images as including prints of costume designs, references from the comic books, hair and makeup photos of a younger Henry Cavill, and test fitting of the prototype suits on mannequins as well as Cavill himself. The suit designs and the prototypes also include the watermarks of Frontline Design, which is the specialty costuming firm that handled the Man of Steel pre-production.
