THQ's Darksiders games are a divisive video game series. On one hand, the Darksiders games have become popular enough to have four installments already. On the other hand, plenty of audiences avoid the games like the plague. Most of the criticism lies in how different each game feels from the others. At the same time, this is also where the charm of the series lies.

You see, each Darksiders game is completely different. The first one was more of a hack-and-slash, in the mold of older God of War titles. The second one was more of an open-world RPG. As for the third one, the game takes cues from the Soulsborne games, making it arguably the most difficult of them all. Meanwhile, the fourth one, Darksiders: Genesis, was a top-down dungeon crawler.

With that said, gamers have had the luxury of enjoying all four aforementioned games on most platforms. At least except for Darksiders 3, which is surprisingly not available on the Nintendo Switch.

This is about to change come September 30. THQ Nordic just confirmed that Darksiders 3 is finally headed to the Nintendo Switch.

Will the fifth Darksiders game ever release?
