CD Projekt Red hasn't had much to say about its controversial title, Cyberpunk 2077 lately. But, if the recent sightings are any indication, the Polish studio is probably just preparing to launch the next big update for Cyberpunk 2077.
Cyberpunk 2077 is the biggest cautionary tale of its generation if not all time. The highly anticipated game was widely considered as the next big thing in gaming - until it wasn't. Cyberpunk 2077 was plagued by issues and bugs for months after it was released in late 2020 to the point that Microsoft and Sony decided to pull the game from sale until it was playable, which took nearly a year. Although Cyberpunk 2077 hasn't lived up to its potential yet, with gamers still waiting on CDPR to deliver on promised content, the game started to show signs of recovery last year.
Having said that, it appears that Cyberpunk 2077's next big update is coming soon.
As spotted by the ever-observant users over on Reddit, CDPR recently updated the Steam database of Cyberpunk 2077. This isn't indicative of what kind of update Cyberpunk 2077 is going to get, but it does suggest that CDPR is testing something. But, because it is not available to the public, the most likely scenario is that it concerns a relatively substantial update that's coming for Cyberpunk 2077.
