The Cyberpunk 2077 map is far from large. However, what Night City, as well as the surrounding Badlands, lacks in size, it makes up for in sheer density. Night City is packed full of details that make the city feel more alive. However, it's this attention to detail that also makes Night City quite confusing to explore.
With that said, we've decided to break down the Cyberpunk 2077 map, as well as include tips on how to make the map look a little less daunting.
Just How Big Is the Cyberpunk 2077 Map?
CD Projekt RED is no stranger to creating a large open world. Their claim to fame, the Witcher franchise, has one of the largest maps in all of gaming, with its two largest regions, Skellige and Novigrad, believed to combine for a total area size of around 136 square kilometers. This isn't including other regions like White Orchard, Kaer Morhen, and Toussaint, which are fairly sizable on their own as well.
Compared to what the Witcher franchise had, the Cyberpunk 2077 map is quite small.
Whereas the entirety of the Witcher map could be well over 150 square kilometers in total land area if combined, the Cyberpunk 2077 map is estimated to be just around 24 square kilometers big. However, the total land area is estimated to be only around 16 square kilometers, with the explorable area even smaller than that.
