Audiences will remember the Rush Hour series as one of the greatest buddy cop films of all time. Even if the trilogy didn't fare well with critics, it made bank at the global box office and put both of its lead stars, Jackie Chan and Chris Tucker, firmly in the mainstream spotlight.
Over a decade after the release of Rush Hour 3, Chan announced last December that a fourth installment is in development. In the actor's words, "We're talking about 'Rush Hour 4' right now." He made the revelation during an appearance at the Red Sea International Film Festival where he discussed his upcoming movie projects as well as his film career spanning six decades.
Now, a few months after Chan's comment, his co-star Chris Tucker has expressed his enthusiasm to work with the martial arts legend again. His comments came during an appearance on Audacy's V-103, while doing the press rounds for his new film Air.
The actor and stand-up comedian stated, "You're going to see a lot of good stuff coming, but it's going to be on a whole other level. That's what I like… I'm excited about that. It's not going to be what you've normally seen… 'Rush Hour 4,' that's something I definitely will probably drop in there because I love working with Jackie, but I've got some new stuff that I think you're really gonna like. I'm excited about it."
