Chris Tucker teases Rush Hour 4 appearance

There have been many conversations about a fourth installment of Rush Hour over the years. However, Chan reportedly turned down the scripts sent to him and this resulted in little progress being made. In 2017, the actor-turned-filmmaker eventually agreed to a script which Tucker confirmed stating, "It's happening. This is gonna be the rush of all rushes. Jackie is ready and we want to do this so that people don't ever forget it."

Unfortunately, the project never saw the light of day.

Apart from Chan's tease and Tucker's comments, there is no other indication that work is ongoing on a fourth Rush Hour installment.

With the context of the previous disappointment and the fact that the film industry can sometimes be unpredictable, fans of the franchise will do well to manage their expectations about Rush Hour 4 and wait for more details to become available.

Tucker will next star in Air, a biographical sports drama film that tells the story of how the Air Jordan shoeline came to be. Apart from Tucker, Air also stars Ben Affleck, Matt Damon, Viola Davies, Chris Messina, Jason Bateman, and Marlon Wayans. The film is directed by Affleck and based on a script by Alex Convery.

Air debuted at South by Southwest on March 18. However, it isn't slated to arrive in theaters until April 5.
