Chris Evans is one of the actors often mentioned in MCU casting rumors. While many fans want Captain America back in the Avengers, the actor says that nobody has contacted him about making a return.
There are rumors about the return of the original Avengers to the MCU. According to a recent report by Variety, Marvel is considering bringing back Evan, Chris Hemsworth, Robert Downey Jr., Scarlett Johannsson, Jeremy Renner, and Mark Ruffalo. Executives from the studio reportedly discussed ways to revive the struggling movie franchise after the lackluster performance of several movies and TV shows.
Marvel hasn't made any official announcements about bringing back the OG team. However, if the studio plans to recall the Avengers, they may be featured in Avengers: The Kang Dynasty and Secret Wars. Only Hemsworth's Thor and Ruffalo's Hulk are active in the MCU's Multiverse Saga.
Evans did address the rumors about his possible return as part of the Avengers. In a recent interview with The Wrap, the actor said that he hasn't been in discussions about reprising the role of Steve Rogers aka Captain America.
