CD Projekt RED has a packed future ahead for The Witcher franchise, starting with a brand new trilogy and a handful of spin-offs.
According to CDPR, the next Witcher game, Project Polaris, is going to be a "story-driven open-world RPG built on the legacy of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt." But, that's not all. It will be the start of an entirely new trilogy that will launch within a six-year period.
Don't get confused. The six-year period starts only after Project Polaris comes out. Since we only got confirmation of the game earlier this year with promises of no crunch, it will be a while before it is ready to be released. In the meantime, we're hoping that CDPR is kind enough to grace us with more info outside of the potential school of Witcher that the protagonist will come from.
Fans still aren't sure if the next lead will come from the School of the Cat or School of the Lynx.
