Infinity Ward has released a new playlist update for Call of Duty: Warzone, finally adding the longest-requested game mode to the list of options. For the first time you can hop into Verdansk with one of your buddies - just one. Duos is here, and hopefully it's here to stay.
The current playlist selection consists of Solos, Duos, Trios, Quads and Plunder Quads. We're looking at the largest variety of available game modes in Warzone since launch, and the game isn't suffering from player base splintering - the alleged reason why publishers are generally reluctant to keep a large number of game modes active concurrently.

Since now it's clear that Warzone has plenty of players to spare and maintain all these playlists, hopefully Activision and Infinity Ward will opt for keeping Solos, Duos, Trios and Quads in the game permanently, with other modes on a rotating basis.
Duos utilizes the main ruleset of the game, meaning there is a Gulag, redeployment opportunities, contracts and every other feature that has been in the primary game modes since launch. Teaming up with one other friend, you'll drop into Verdansk with the goal of outlasting 74 other pairs.

Having so many options open is great for players, since there's no guarantee how many of your friends are online at any given time. You can't always fill up a Quads team, but sometimes being restricted to Duos or Trios means someone is left out from the fun.
