The Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 open beta is just around the corner and players are already hyped for the final release of the game on October 28, 2022. It is confirmed that, just like last year, the beta will be available exclusively to PlayStation players in the first phase, followed by a multi-platform open beta in the second phase. The phases are separated by the two weekends.
PlayStation players can get early access to the beta from September 16-17, followed by all PlayStation players getting access from September 18-20. Players who pre-ordered the game can get in on the action from September 22-23, with an open beta available to everyone from September 24-26.
Moreover, we’ve also received official confirmation with the details about the beta rewards that the players will receive for playing the beta in the coming weeks. The rewards will be distributed across both beta weekends. Players joining the second weekend can still earn the rewards from the first weekend.
Here’s the rundown of all the rewards across both weekends. You need to reach level 30 to unlock all the rewards. Your progress during the beta will not carry over to the final release. And, yes, the rewards will still be available to use during the full game.

Weekend 1 Rewards
- “Smashed It” Animated Emblem – Unlocked at Level 2
- “Buckle Up” Charm – Reach Level 4
- “Passed The Test” Animated Player Card – Unlocked at Level 5
- “Operation First Blood” Sticker – Unlocked at Level 10
- “Side Impact” Weapon Blueprint – Unlocked at Level 15
Weekend 2 Rewards
- “Collision” Operator Skin – Unlocked at Level 18
- “No Competition” Vinyl – Unlocked at Level 19
- “Safety First” Sticker – Unlocked at Level 21
- “Floor It” Vehicle Skin – Unlocked at Level 26
- “Frontal Impact” Weapon Blueprint – Unlocked at Level 30
All these rewards are quite nice and give players exclusive cosmetics. Once the beta is over, the players can look forward to the full release of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 on October 28, 2022.
