Bradley Cooper weighs in on a potential The Hangover 4

The first Hangover film arrived in theaters in 2009 and catapulted Cooper to the limelight. Given this context, it is not surprising that it has a special place in Cooper's heart and he finds it appealing. Grossing over $469 million, the first film was a box office success. It was quickly followed by two sequels, which arrived in 2011 and 2013 respectively.

The Hangover film series followed four friends – Phil Wenneck, Dr. Stu Price, Alan Garner, and Doug Billings – as they get into trouble after a wild night out and try to get themselves out of it. Cooper portrayed Phil, while Helms, Galifianakis, and Justin Bartha play Stu, Alan, and Doug respectively.

Given the three films grossed a combined $1.4 billion, there is, without a doubt, an audience that is interested in new installments of the series. Unfortunately, Cooper's statements occlude such a possibility to the disappointment of many fans.

However, if there is one rule in Hollywood, it is to "Never say never." Phillips might still be prevailed upon to develop a fourth installment in The Hangover series, especially since the industry is tending more towards sequels of established franchises these days.

In Cooper's latest film Maestro, he will star as the legendary conductor, Leonard Bernstein. The film, a biopic, will explore the relationship between Bernstein and his wife, Felicia Montealegre, during his life. Apart from his acting role, Cooper also directed, co-wrote and co-produced the film.

Maestro debuted as a limited theatrical release on November 22 before arriving on Netflix on December 20. Despite its relative newness, it has been widely acclaimed by critics and even touted as a contender during the upcoming awards season.
