When Bluey arrived on television in 2018, it became an instant hit. An Australian show that follows a Blue Heeler puppy on her adventures with her sister Bingo and the influence of their parents, Bluey is sweet and heartwarming - and a perfect candidate for a video game aimed at younger kids. Luckily, precisely that is what's launching soon on many platforms.
The animated show's target audience is preschoolers, but its themes of modern family life and good parenting have meant it can resonate with parents and other adults, too - the show is notable for the positive father figure image it presents with Bluey's dad, Bandit.
Bluey is so popular that, even though it was created for an Australian audience, it has made its way across the ocean to the United States via Disney Plus and Disney Junior, winning several awards along the way, including an International Emmy Kids Award.
Now, the show is being adapted into a videogame for all major consoles, including the PlayStation, Xbox, Switch, and PC. The new game is simply titled Bluey: The Videogame. No need to overcomplicate things, right?
Bluey: The Videogame will bring back some of the show's original voice cast and feature some of its activities, including games like Keepy Uppy, Magic Xylophone, and Floor is Lava, among others. It will also use some of the same locations that are in the show, including Bluey's house.
