Black Panther: Wakanda Forever will be opening next week in theaters, and initial reactions and reviews of the film from critics, and those others privileged to see the premiere, have been extremely positive. Fans have already been asking if there is a third installment to the superhero flick.
There is a strong possibility of a sequel to Wakanda Forever, but the studio is taking its time on the decision - at least publicly. The Collider's Editor-in-Chief Steve Weintraub got the opportunity to ask Black Panther 2 producer Nate Moore about the prospect of a third movie during a recent interview.
"Do you envision a Black Panther 3 in the next three / four years or do you think this is going to be something where Wakanda and the characters are just sort of embedded into the rest of the MCU?" Weintraub asks Moore.
"That's a great question. To be honest, this is not me trying to not answer the question. We really want to see how audiences receive the film, and I think Ryan's really interested to see how the film plays before we decide," Moore answers.
Moore adds, "there are certainly ideas we've floated around of what a third film could be if we get to make it. But until the movie comes out, we're a bit superstitious in that way. We don't want to count our chickens, because you never know what's going to happen."
