From 2020 to 2022, the collective complaint about video game releases was that there wasn't enough. But, most of the criticism was hushed due to circumstances beyond everyone's control. From the COVID-19 pandemic to the ballooning costs of video game development, the chip shortage, and basically Murphy's Law being at play, there simply wasn't too many big titles that came out over the past three years. Now, it's the exact opposite.
