Famed and renowned actor Michael K. Williams was found dead in his New York home yesterday, as reported by The Hollywood Reporter. Williams, who was 54 years old, was adored by many fans for roles spanning television, film and video games as well.

Williams, who was likely best known for his role in hit series The Wire, appeared across a number of acclaimed shows and movies, his talent earning him five Emmy nominations over the course of his busy career. He also graced video games with his art, playing the role of Kimble "Irish” Graves in Battlefield 4.

A supporting character throughout the campaign, Irish ends up being a hugely momentous player of the finale in the game's story. This earned him a place in the hearts and minds of Battlefield fans worldwide, and ensured that his story wouldn't end with just one game.

As revealed by the 9-minute cinematic short film "Exodus", Irish is returning in Battlefield 2042 later this year with Williams reprising the role. As all voice and motion capture work was likely completed months ago, the tragedy will not affect what very well may be his last performance.
