Shortly after replacing Avengers: Infinity War on the all-time box office charts, the Avatar follow-up has force pushed Star Wars: The Force Awakens down a peg to become the fourth-highest-grossing film in history.
reports that Avatar 2 has made $2.075 billion at the global box office, surpassing the $2.071 billion box office haul of Star Wars: The Force Awakens from 2015. The sequel is now on track to replace Titanic's spot in the triumvirate of the most lucrative films in cinema history with only $120 million or so to go.
