Assetto Corsa 2, the sequel to the racing simulation game by Italian developer Kunos Simulazioni, will arrive sometime in spring 2024.
This piece of news comes courtesy of a financial statement from Digital Bros, the parent company of the game's developers, Kunos Simulazioni, and its publisher, 505 Games.
According to the now-deleted document, "The second version of Assetto Corsa is currently in development, and its launch is scheduled for Spring 2024."
The statement addressed the company's finances for the six-month period between June and December 2022 and provided information on numerous Digital Bros. titles, including Gems of War 3 and Control.
Digital Bros. first hinted at a release date for Assetto Corsa 2 in a May 2021 report. However, while that report mentioned 2024, it did not specify a period, unlike the latest report.
Assetto Corsa, the first title in the game franchise, was released to Steam Early Access in November 2013 before receiving a wider release in 2014. The title impressed critics and received generally positive reviews. A second game, titled Assetto Corsa Competizione, followed in 2018 as the official Blancplain GT World Challenge game with a focus on the GT3 and GT4 cars.
