Release windows aren't uncommon in the gaming industry. They prove that developers aren't sure about when their game is going to be ready yet. Release windows aren't necessarily a bad thing, as games that are often said to be complete "soon" are missing any sort of actual release date.

Case in point, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, Final Fantasy 16, and Diablo 4. But, while the latest word about the said games is they're coming out soon, we're hearing negative things about Assassin's Creed Mirage.

According to Insider Gaming, internal delays forced Ubisoft to target an August release for Mirage.

The report explains that Ubisoft has encountered several development issues affecting the release date of the upcoming Assassin's Creed installment. It speculates that the decision to release Mirage on both last-gen and current-gen consoles is a major factor. Furthermore, it states that Ubisoft is having problems with Assassin's Creed Red as well. But, the report isn't all bad news as Assassin's Creed Hexe is doing well and is likely to enter full production soon.
