Ubisoft's Assassin's Creed games have come a long way since the first title was released more than a decade ago. The series started as stealth-action games before becoming more open world in subsequent installments, until finally embracing the RPG elements in the latest outing, Assassin's Creed Valhalla.

Although Ubisoft remains committed to supporting Valhalla until at least 2022, it's already looking towards the future, which is Assassin's Creed Infinity.

Ubisoft describes the upcoming game as something that will "guide, grow, evolve, and define the overall future of Assassin's Creed.", which is not unlike what Rockstar Games has done with Grand Theft Auto Online, and Epic Games has done with Fortnite.

Is Infinity enough to keep the series going for another decade? Ubisoft would love for that to happen.
