If we believe the reports, Ubisoft plans to introduce some big changes to Assassin's Creed, specifically introducing a new female solo protagonist to the series to one of the studio's many in-development projects, Assassin's Creed Codename Hexe.

The upcoming title has been shrouded in mystery ever since it was announced last year. Fast forward to today and there are rumors that the upcoming title will have a witch theme and feature a female protagonist, prompting a reply from Ubisoft.

In a LinkedIn post, Ubisoft Montreal talent acquisition specialist Yara Tabbara remarked that the game will "leave a lasting mark on the franchise," adding that he's getting "major chills" every time he gets an update about Codename Hexe.

Another Ubisoft employee commented on the post, fueling the rumors further by saying that she hopes that the upcoming title would have "strong feminine energy" to which Tabarra replied, "in MANY ways, it DOES." This seemingly points towards the popular theory about the witch theme of the upcoming title and the female lead character.
