Ash Ketchum was first introduced to the Pokémon world on April 1, 1997. The budding trainer was ten years old when he debuted in the anime episode "Pokémon, I Choose You!" where he chose Pikachu as his starter companion.

Ash set out on a quest to be the best Pokémon master in the world since his debut. After twenty-five years, the perpetual ten-year-old has finally done it!

The momentous event came during the newest episode of Pokémon Ultimate Journeys: The Series. In the episode, Pikachu won a battle against a Charizard owned by Leon. The trainer is known for being the champion of the Galar region of the game in Pokémon Sword and Shield.

The battle concludes the Pokémon World Coronation Series Masters Eight Tournament. Ash defeated all the other Pokémon League Champions and proved to everyone that he is the best trainer in the world. The official Pokémon Twitter announced the victory with a celebratory tweet.
